Another British classic from the mind of Sir Alec Issigonis just like the Morris Minor 1000 or the Mini. I wonder what the passer-by thinks about the Maxi, well she's probably more interested in the ice cream.

Comments:
I owned a 1972 'Maxi' in 1984. I wanted a cheap car and liked the look of the Maxi. The gear boxes were lousy (all British gear boxes were). At two hundred and twenty pounds the car was a bargain. I bought my own London taxi cab four years later ( I drove a cab, badge No. 5959) and the seller took the Maxi as part payment. 5 years later he phoned me to see if I wanted it back,, It was still running perfectly, but his wanted an up-dated car.. GREAT VEHICLE ,, Stan Shaw
THE IDEA:
After some months living in London and seeing some of the most unbelievable cars and bizarre things-on-wheels, I have finally decided to keep track of this unique heritage.
