  VW Karmann Ghia 1955

Pure beauty, somehow the MB SL of the poor, and one of my favourites cars, not difficult to be spotted in London.
The funny thing is that yesterday I posted a Volvo P1800 and said that I expected to post the VW Karmann soon, but I didn´t have any picture of it. Today, amazingly, like summoned by a strange force, I discovered this car on a back alley. What an incredible coincidence!

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this internet thing, sometimes it gets you closer with people far away and sometimes gets you nearer to those by your side :)
An amazing car, anyway. It's a pitty that it had a small scratch on the side.
Just like last week, I saw an original MB SL...but it was stuck on a traffic light the owner dessperately triying to turn the engine on...but it just wouldn't work. Obviously (although I had my camera with me) I couldn't afford to take a picture.

karmann ghia 1955 LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOLLLLLLL

NO it's a 1972-1974 karmann ghia!!!

It just celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
I don't know if this particular vehicle dates back so long (I don't think so) but the gorgeous design sure does. Look:
